I am grateful to Coral Law in Australia has who provided lots of useful information about the Mason family. She is descended from two sisters in the family. Ellen Mason (1831 - 1908) was her maternal great-geat-grandmother and Harriet Mason (1828 - 1861) was her paternal great-great grandmother. I would also like to thank Sue Dodson who, through a DNA match, helped me discover the connection to Cornwall. Her ancestor John Rapson Curnow (1849 - 1934) emigrated from Cornwall to Kansas in 1871.
